TORONTO, ONATARIO and CHICAGO, ILLINOIS--(Marketwire - Jan. 26, 2012) - The 2011 BMO Employee Giving Campaign set new records for donations, pledges and participation, with BMO and its employees directing over $19.1 million to local United Ways and other charities across North America with the participation of nearly 35,000 employees. Further, BMO employees volunteered at hundreds of charities in communities across Canada and the U.S.
"BMO employees across North America capped off 2011 with a collective act of kindness," said Bill Downe, President and CEO of BMO Financial Group. "More than 70 per cent of employees participated in the bank's annual giving campaign last month. This kind of generosity is moving - and it's powerful. It is inspiring to work in an organization where people show this level of commitment."
